“Mia” is our foundation malinois brood bitch,she is a strong willed highly driven, extremely versatile malinois bitch with solid nerves and excellent character, attributes which she showed during the filming of the crime movie “Snowtown”
It takes an extremely sound dog to put up with the pressures of a crowded and noisy film set,makeup artists fussing and having to do the same scene many times over, working with complete strangers and often a distance from the handler.Mia was absolutely at ease in all these situations and is a great ambassador for her breed.
Mia is a daughter of FCI and Belgium National competitor Zico vd Berlex-hoeve schH3 IPO 3 FH2 (imp Belg).
Zico placed second at the FCI world championships with a score of 291 equalling the scores of the 1st and 2nd placed dogs.Zico has gone on to be a highly successful sire of sport and service dogs
Mias dam Mechelse Astrid is a daughter of Dano vh Stokeind KNPV PH1+2 Metlof(imp Neth) and Kyra v d Gamaja-Hof KNPV PH1(imp Neth)both producers of many working service dogs.
Sparingly bred(only 2 litters)Mia has proven to be an asset for our kennel with progeny in Security,RAAF,Military, working as explosives detection dogs and training
in Schutzhund,ANKC obedience and agility.Mia has now been retired from maternal duties.
